The Telekom Content World contains images/videos that were previously contained in separate image/video databases. The PictureWorld and the media archive are categories, as are individual shootings and topics. Categories are used both to manage the hierarchy of images/videos from the previous databases and to separate the images/videos by subject and time period.

Filtering, sorting, light table

Light table mode is a "content browser". You can see previews of preselected images/videos. This mode is used to select and manage images and videos.

A collection is a compilation of images and videos from the Telekom Content World created by you. You can share a collection with others, add additional images/videos, or delete images. A collection is retained even if you log out and log in again.

In the menu area you will find the entry "My Collections". If you select this entry, an overview page appears with collections that you have created yourself.

Find the collection whose contents you want to view and click the collection tile.

Now use the trash can icon on the individual picture/video tiles to delete the desired content from this collection.

If you have shared the collection, deleting the contents of the collection has a direct effect on the shared collection. This means that the deleted content is no longer displayed to the recipients of the shared collection.

The Telekom Content World does not support the download of an image/video overview of collections as a PDF file. Please use the print function in your browser to print the overview or generate a PDF.

  1. In the Collections selection field in the menu area, select the collection you want to release/share.
  2. Open the "Edit collection" menu and choose "Share collection" to display the share dialog.

Before these people can view the shared collection, however, they must register for Telekom Content World and agree to the Telekom Content World terms of use.

The new users will then find the collections they have shared in the "My Collections" area. You can open these collections, look at the images/videos of such a collection and also download these images/videos.

You can download collections from Telekom Content World.

In the menu area you call up the entry "My Collections". An overview page appears with collections that you have created yourself or that have been shared with you.

Find the collection that you want to download and click "Download Content" on the collections tile. Alternatively, you can also display the content of the collection and select the "Download" link there.

Now decide in which format you need the images/videos. If an image/video is not available in a certain format, it is grayed out. In addition to the format, you can also choose whether you want to download only individual images/video or all images/videos in the collection. So that the total size of the selected images/videos does not become too large, you will be informed as soon as the maximum number of content is reached.

After you have made your selection, click on Download and then click on "Accept and download".

If the image/video formats are very large or have many images/videos in a collection, it may take a moment for the download to become available. If you were unable to download all of the images/videos you wanted, please start downloading additional images and videos from the collection again after the first download.

You will receive the desired images/videos in a ZIP file, which also contains information about the images/videos.

Image and video sizes and formats

There are three options that differ slightly between images and videos:

  1. You can download the theme's "All Formats" from the image tile or from the "Details" page of the image and select the appropriate format. For videos, you get the HD format (usually as MP4) via the video tile or all available formats on the "Details" page of the video.
  2. The "Details" page of the image/video contains all the available formats for the image/video. Download the suitable image/video.
  3. You can download the image/video as "original" and edit it with other software (e.g. Gimp or Adobe Photoshop for images).

Your download will be provided as a ZIP file.

Each Telekom Content World image and video is provided in different formats. Call up the detail page of your desired image/video. For images, use the "Other formats" link below the thumbnail. For videos, all available formats are listed below the thumbnail.

If you call up the above link to an image detail page, you will see the standard formats specified for Telekom Content World in various resolutions.

If the section you are looking for or your resolution is not there, please download the original format of the image and edit the "original" with another software (e.g. Gimp or Adobe Photoshop).

Downloading images and videos

An overview is available in Telekom Content World that shows you when you downloaded which image/video.

To do this, go to "My user account" and below the "User behavior" area click on "Downloads overview".

In addition to a thumbnail of the image/video linked to the image/video detail page, the overview also shows the image/video ID, the number of downloads, the date of the first and last download and the time until when the image/video may be used and the categories in which the image/video can be found.

Thumbnail and link

If there is no thumbnail for an image/video and therefore no link to the image/video detail page, this image/video is no longer available in Telekom Content World. This can e.g. be the case if this image/video may no longer be used due to licensing requirements.

Number of downloads

If you have downloaded different formats for an image/video, the displayed number of downloads for this image/video is greater than 1.

It is not possible to download a complete collection.

If you want to download certain content items from a collection, you will have to download each image/video individually. To do so, proceed as follows:

  1. Display the contents of the collection.
  2. For an image, select the function "Download the original image" ("Original") or "Download with all formats" ("All formats") from the image tile. For videos, please select "HD format" from the video tile.

Your download will be provided as a ZIP file.

Image files for print media require higher resolution. Such images and also high-resolution videos often exceed the maximum size for e-mail attachments. We recommend the following solution:

Ask the colleague or service provider to register for the Telekom Content World. You can share images, videos and collections with others in the Telekom Content World.
